    No certificate after a job? Energy Safe Victoria acts on complaints about electrical work finished in the last three years.

  • Electrical installation work in Victoria ends with a Certificate of Electrical Safety. The electrician must give a copy to you and lodge one with Energy Safe.
  • Changing a power point or a light switch yourself is against the law here. Energy Safe's own words: there is no grey area.
